Matthew James Gamlen is a Director, Designer, and content-focused Creative Director based in Portland, Oregon. He collaborates with agencies, production companies, brands, and fellow artists across the globe.
Matthew's expansive portfolio spanning nearly two decades encompasses commercials, music videos, narrative and documentary films, title sequences, immersive experiences, and photographic works. He's led award-winning creative for some of the world's most celebrated brands, including Adidas, EA, Google, Laika, Microsoft, Nike, Sony, Target, Vice, and many others. He also helped shape music filmmaking collective, Into The Woods, and continues to direct music videos today.
Outside of industry work, Matthew is an avid photographer, shooting in both film and digital formats. His love for wilderness exploration and extensive travels have made him a strong advocate for the environment and traditional cultures, contributing his expertise to media-related projects for indigenous peoples and other non-profit organizations.
