Matthew Gamlen is an award-winning filmmaker whose work spans commercials, branded content, documentaries, music videos, and experiential projects.
Drawing on an early background in post production; editing, motion design, and vfx, and years of experience as an agency creative (Wieden+Kennedy, Cinco), Matthew brings a highly versatile and collaborative approach to directing. His credits include projects for Adidas, EA, Google, HP, Intel, Levi’s, Microsoft, Nike, RedBull, Sony, TED, and many others.
Matthew is a father, bee keeper, outdoorsman, woodworker, photographer, and volunteer collaborator for land stewardship organizations and indigenous groups. Originally from San Francisco, Matthew’s years in the Pacific Northwest have deeply influenced his creativity and connection to the natural world. He currently lives and works between Portland and LA.
