Matthew Gamlen is an award-winning director known for his unique style of blending naturalistic storytelling, arresting visuals, and innovative creative techniques. His work spans commercials, branded content, documentaries, music videos, and narrative projects.
Drawing on a background in post production; editorial, motion design, and vfx, and years of experience as an agency creative, Matthew brings a highly versatile and collaborative approach to directing. His credits include projects for Adidas, CLIF, EA, Fender, Google, Levi’s, Microsoft, Nike, Oakley, REI, Sony, and many others.
Matthew is a father, photographer, musician, beekeeper, woodworker, outdoorsman, and volunteer collaborator with several non-profit organizations. Originally from San Francisco, Matthew’s years in the Pacific Northwest have deeply influenced his creativity and connection to the natural world.
